Coastal Habitats Represent 80% of Global Population

Examing The Climate HotMap [1-b] establishes a good cause for accepting the reality of impending, significant global climate change - one that will require massive population migration to avoid rising sea levels; and, further to seek out survival resources.
"The U.S. Global Change Research Program on November 11, 2000 released the summary report of the first comprehensive scientific assessment of the potential consequences of global warming on the United States. The National Assessment synthesis documents (Overview and Foundation documents) can be viewed online "
This article, supra, continued : "The document, known as Climate Change Impacts on the United States: The Potential Consequences of Climate Variability and Change, synthesizes a massive scientific research effort that took more than three years to produce, involving every region of the United States and hundreds of experts from the scientific, business, governmental and environmental communities."
Now, on November 10th, 2004, The Victoria Times Colonist, in British Columbia, Canada reports "Scientists predict Arctic warming will trigger catastrophic flooding
OTTAWA -- The world's oceans could rise by a full metre in this century, displacing hundreds of millions of residents in flood-prone areas from Bangladesh to Florida and reshaping Canada's own coastline, climate experts have told a conference of Arctic countries".
This Report is consistant with the predictions pronounced in the US defence adviser of 30 years, Andrew Marshall, "A secret report, suppressed by US defense chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.
The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents". by Mark Townsend and Paul Harris in New York : note .
Perhaps, the visual impact of The Day After Tommorow will create a higher impetus for the average citizen to pause, take a deep breath; and, then to head for higher ground.
Chaos is defined as being "KHAOS : GAPPING VOID " - which will occur when the next metoerite strikes Earth to spawn the next Moon : " The mission will also try to determine the origin of the moon, which current theory believes is the result of a massive impact by a giant meteorite striking the Earth during its early formative phase. "We want to understand better the relationship between the Earth and the moon," Foing said. "We believe the moon is the daughter of Earth ".
As we sit before a breakfast menu with our family on Sunday morning, perhaps we will join in a solemn breath of appreciation for this moment of life on Earth. And, then go start packing. But, watch for fingerprints : . And, wonder about defense : ; perhaps, as Arthur C Clarke would have imagined : ... into the sky an arrow .
